“a digital magazine & blog”
switch. is a new organization that aims to bring a new perspective to the black community using technological advances that have defined our generation. Based around a digital magazine, it will be flanked by the switch.blog, YouTube videos and the use of social networking sites such as Twitter and Facebook.
Although this organization has members who are University of Virginia students and may have University employees associated or engaged in its activities and affairs, the organization is not a part of or an agency of the University. It is a separate and independent organization which is responsible for and manages its own activities and affairs. The University does not direct, supervise or control the organization and is not responsible for the organization’s contracts, acts or omissions.
switch.magazine is a digital web magazine will serve the University of Virginia and the surrounding Charlottesville community, with a strong focus on, but not limited to, black artistic culture. The magazine will act as a medium for developing critical perspectives and appreciation for art of all forms. By being a digital magazine, switch. will have a broader reach, allowing for a more interactive, contemporary and eco-friendly way to get information to the masses.
