Reasons Why “Cry Me a River” Will Never Get Old

Check out these comments Nicki Minaj made about Lil Wayne’s incarceration…

COME ON! For those of you who don’t know, Lil Wayne is currently serving a one-year (yes, ONE-year) jail sentence for gun possession at Rikers Island (for all you Law and Order fans, yes it is a real place lol).

Here are some of the things that got my attention from that article:

“So it’s been an emotional roller coaster for all of us involved because we never knew when the last text message or that last hug was the actual last text message or hug.”

Is he leaving for a year or a decade? When was it EVER going to be the “last text message or hug”? For someone who’s supposed to be such a masculine female, Nicki’s getting REAL dramatic on us. Not to mention the sentence was only delayed TWICE (once for Lil Wayne’s dental work, once for a fire that happened at the courthouse; moral of the story, schedule your teeth cleaning around your arraignment date lol).

Then Drake starts getting all sentimental on us:

“I’m gonna do everything I told him I would do, what I said in the song [‘Over’]: keep us afloat till he gets back,” he told MTV News. “You won’t even notice he’s gone. Promise.”

He’s going to be gone a YEAR. That’s not even enough time for his current album to get old. Young Money is not going to die in a year (even though I wish it would). This is doing a whole lot. If Lil Wayne being gone for a year even means a threat to YM, clearly YM isn’t all that strong now, is it…
