Diggy Simmons Signs to Atlantic Records

15-year-old Daniel Dwayne “Diggy” Simmons, III, signed a deal earlier today with Atlantic Records.

The teenage son of Rev Run (of Run-D.M.C. fame) has been making a name for himself in the rap game since the release of his first mixtape, “The First Flight,” which you can download here at illRoots.

If you haven’t heard the young Simmons yet, check out the video for “Flow Stupid,” a track that he recorded over the beat of Nas’ “Made You Look.” You can watch the video after the jump.

Much congratulations to Diggy… I can’t wait to see him grow and develop as an artist.

One Response to Diggy Simmons Signs to Atlantic Records

Cant hate on this man for havin a rich and famous father, but dang, i feel like it sucks a lil that some people have to earn it and others are given it. as long as he stay humble, and dont rap about how many bitches, lambos, and black cards he got, im cool. I only heard a few songs, and i thought they were very average lyrically, but i mean he 15, he gone get better. cant diss him tho, cuz it wasnt his fault he has the father he has.
